Hand and Occupational Therapy

Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) are rehabilitation professionals with specific training in pre- and post-operative hand and upper extremity injuries. Because of the complexities involved in rehabilitating hand upper extremity injuries, clinicians are required to complete four additional years and 4,000 hours of specialty education and clinical training. Only after completion of rigorous hands-on training and coursework, therapists must pass a comprehensive examination, which certifies them as a CHT. Our certified hand therapists specialize in custom splinting techniques, wound care management and all pre- and post-operative hand and elbow conditions.

Our certified hand therapists also treat:

  • Pre- and post-operative carpel tunnel syndrome
  • Wrist, hand, finger fractures and injuries
  • Trigger finger
  • Tendon injuries
  • Industrial hand injuries
